ActiveIQ Announces the 2012 Worst Industrial Website Contest

Calgary, AB – Marketing technology company ActiveIQ announced today the 2012 Worst Website contest with $5000 towards a new website available for the winning company.

ActiveIQ will judge submitted websites based on a wide range of criteria. Visual appearance will certainly be a contributing factors, however business functions such as conversion elements, case studies, and thought leadership will also carry significant weight.

Martha Boulianne, head Web Designer at ActiveIQ, says “There are a number of factors which combine to make a great website. Appearance is certainly important, but a great looking website can still be lacking many of the important design elements which take a website from being merely a digital brochure to an actual business development tool.”

Entries are open to all industrial manufacturers, service providers, and distributors. To get a better sense of whether your business might be in contention check out the ActiveIQ article on the top 10 worst website mistakes.

The contest will run for 8 weeks and all entries are anonymous. Winners will be announced on December 10.
